Pisa is a maritime location, despite the fact that the first purely seaside areas are outside the city: from the equipped beaches that stretch out towards the Versilia to those towards Livorno. 15 minutes from the hotel, in Tirrenia, you’ll find the elegant seaside establishment of Cosmopolitan Beach, with parasols, sunbeds, and huts, in addition to the bar and restaurant (self-service lunch, à la carte dinner).
There are many interesting seaside destinations that can welcome visitors with efficient services. For public beach lovers, there are places surrounded by Mediterranean scrub where you can take walks in a huge pine forest (currently a protected area) and large areas of the beach without any equipment, which has its own kind of charm.
Elba Island is also easy to get to approximately 100 km to Piombino to board the ferry. The many islands of the Tuscan archipelago can also be reached by ferry from Livorno.
